Under the stewardship of editor Alex Moshakis and art director Ray O’Meara, the It’s Nice That magazine underwent an eye-catching redesign and a change-up in editorial structure too.
In the Issue 8 work section we featured Bill Durgin, Brecht Evens, Eric Cahan, Erwan Frotin, Jayson Musson, Lucas Blalock, Luis Gispert, Makoto Azuma, Mark Mulroney, Mirko Borsche, Raphael Garnier, Ruth Van Beek, Samuel Henne and Savinder Bual.
We had interviews with leading architect John Pawson, artists Slavs and Tartars, Pentagram partner Paula Scher, artists John Wood and Paul Harrison, Dutch rising stars MVRDV and Design Musuem director Deyan Sudjic. Tung Walsh photographed The Barbcian’s extraordinary conservatory, Bompas & Parr and Thomas Brown captured the scents of London in still-life form, Haw-Lin curated a series exploring architectural space, various figures told us about their mentors, Francesca Gavin wrote about space in the contemporary art world, Michael Landy opened up about his rejected proposal for the Olympic Park and we showcased Cyril Porchet’s amazing pictures of church ceilings.
