Jean Jullien: Jackie Brown

Joe Cruz, Jean Jullien and Concepción Studios are among the artists commissioned to create limited-edition film posters for the Summer Screen Prints 2016 exhibition at Somerset House. Print Club London has selected the artists, a range of established and emerging illustrators and graphic designers with a variety in style, to create a poster for each of the films being shown at the Film4 Summer Screen at Somerset House.

Jean Jullien has illustrated Quentin Tarentino’s Jackie Brown, while Joe Cruz has created a poster for Funny Face. Concepción Studios has designed a poster for Ex Machina; Peter Strain has depicted Trainspotting; Joe Wilson has taken on Robocop; and Cassandra Yap has created artwork for Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Elliot Kruszynski will design a poster for Captain Fantastic, which will be the closing night premiere.

Other artists featured include Paul Wardski, Lilly Lou, Daisy Emerson, Louis Carpenter, Lucille Clerc, RYCA, Jordan Andrew Carter, MOL (Ministry of Love), Joe Vass and Rose Stallard, Print Club’s creative director.

There will also be workshops, live printing demonstrations and a show of prints from previous shows including work by Aries Moross. In the screening room will be a series of short films with interviews and behind-the-scenes footage of the artists’ design process.

The exhibition takes place from 28 July — 17 August at Somerset House, and the films will be screened from 4 — 17 August.
