SpeakEmoji, the app that translates voice to emoji launches today

SpeakEmoji is an app “to help parents and relatives break through the kids’ smartphone trance by speaking to them them in their own language – emoji”. It launches today and available on iOS, Android and web, Speak Emoji will translate spoken words such as “Brussels Sprouts” into a Belgian flag and a tiny, sprouting plant. The app intends to “help adults engage with their festive little ‘digital natives’… and make Christmas the meaningful family time it’s supposed to be.”

SpeakEmoji was designed by SapientNitro, who on witnessing “the birth of a new, universal language” created the app to translate voice to emoji and “ensure it’s not just teenagers having all the fun.
