Nadav Kander directs a powerful new ad highlighting the danger of driving in the rain

Renowned photographer Nadav Kander has directed a powerful new advert, titled Rain, for Highways England. Nadav, known for his powerful and tightly composed photography and film making, has created chilling 60-second spot that highlights the dangers of driving in the rain. Produced in association with Clark Edwards and Andre Hull from AMVBBDO and Tim Riley, the film shows a family home engulfed in a storm. The images that paint a distinctly familiar domestic scene are overdubbed with some crackly footage of an emergency services call, creating a haunting and timely warning about driving at speed in poor conditions.

The film has echoes of Nadav’s advert for No More, an anti-domestic violence coalition, that aired during the 2015 NFL Super Bowl. Nadav was one of the invited speakers at It’s Nice That’s annual symposium Here London, earlier this year.
