Date
31 May 2016

The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences has announced a final call for entries to the 2016 Lovie Awards. The awards are the only truly pan-European award to honour the full breadth of the internet including websites, online advertising, mobile and apps, internet video and social. The final entry deadline is 10 June so there is just over a week left to submit entries. Finalists are announced in September 2016, and winners in October 2016 with a celebration in November 2016 in London.

The 6th annual call for entries features a select group of new Lovie Awards categories, including branded entertainment suite, virtual reality (in general video & branded entertainment), health & fitness (in mobile & applications), humour (in social) and brand strategy (in online advertising campaigns), and more.

All work is judged by Academy members representing Europe’s best and brightest in digital including actor Stephen Fry, musician Imogen Heap, Dan Howell (danisnotonfire), Chester Chipperfield (special projects, Apple), Alexander Ljung (founder and CEO, SoundCloud), Elke Klinkhammer (chief creative officer, McCann Worldgroup, Germany), Jane Gorley (creative director, Style.com), Mel Exon (managing director, BBH London), and Corinne Vigreux (co-founder, TomTom).

The Lovie Awards was created in 2011 to specifically honour the outstanding online work made for the European audience, taking into account local market differences. To do so, work is accepted and judged in seven native languages: Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Swedish.
