British Sea Power play live soundtrack to iconic Polish animations for Kinoteka

British Sea Power will close the Kinoteka Polish Film Festival tonight at the Barbican in London, playing a specially commissioned musical soundtrack to its own curated selection of animated shorts. Marking the 15th anniversary of the festival, organised by London’s Polish Cultural Institute and the Barbican Centre, the one-off gig also coincides with the launch of band’s new album Let The Dancers Inherit The Party.

Animations being screened have been chosen by British Sea Power, and represent the finest Polish animation including Tango by Zbigniew Rybczyński, Journey by Daniel Szczechura, Stairs by Stefan Schabenbeck, Piotr Dumala’s Little Black Riding Hood, Zofia Oraczewska’s Banquet and School by Walerian Borowczyk, all of which you can watch below.

British Sea Power: Music for Polish Animation Classics takes place on 5 April at 8pm at Barbican, London as the closing gala of Kinoteka.
