Gross-out gifs and morphing heads by LA animator Sean Solomon

Date
27 January 2017

LA-based animator Sean Solomon has been the lead designer on Fox show Lucas Bros. Moving Co. and animated an episode of Viceland’s Party Legends for Alia Shawkat’s story, and is still just 24. In between these jobs and others for Odd Future, he’s also been creating some trippy gifs.

A former CalArts student, Sean focuses his personal work on bug-eyed naivety, morphing heads, fast food and silly jabs at popular culture. In one, an apple quietly screams as it’s attacked by a pencil. In another, a floating girl’s head pukes out another head, which takes its place in a disturbing eternal loop. Taking a pop at zit-faced teens, one of Sean’s other animated characters seamlessly transitions from being a boy to a slice of pizza, using exactly the same colour scheme.

Addictive to watch and abundant in volume, Sean’s portfolio is ready and waiting to soak up hours of your perusing time.
