Our first Nicer Tuesdays of 2015 explores the subject of humour!
January can be a tough month, all credit card bills, hangovers and grotty weather, which is why Nicer Tuesdays will be back in the first month of 2015 to present four talks on humour!
Joining us is Wilfrid Wood, a London-born sculptor and formerly the head builder for satirical TV show Spitting Image, to discuss his excellent portfolio of work. We’ll also have Matilda Tristram, the illustrator and comics artist responsible for the raw and poignant but enduringly-humorous comic Probably Nothing which charts her experience of being diagnosed with cancer while pregnant with her first child, speaking about finding humour in unexpected places.
Also speaking is our very own Karl Toomey, senior art director at INT Works and all round funny guy, to take us through various personal projects including his Gary Goals posters which caused a stir across the football world and Mr. Bingo , lifetime friend of the site and hate mail extraordinaire who’s promised us some new and unseen work. Exciting!
As always the drinks are on us, just to make dry January that little bit harder.
