Mark Prenderghast’s new video for Bambooman’s track Clasp is an absolute winner as the bouncy ball, everyone’s favourite childhood play thing, has a starring role. Using 43 of the most garishly coloured bouncy balls and 76 sheets of sandpaper, Mark has created a series of brilliant rhythmic sequences with the balls bouncing in unison to the beat.

Where it gets even better is when the balls are slowly rubbed away revealing what looks like psychedelic, spherical brains that have been warped from all that bopping. The work that must have gone into this video is amazing and it’s the execution that takes this simple idea to another level. Having honed his skills as a designer, animator and experimental filmmaker at the HORT studio, Mark now produces all manner of weird and wonderful work from his base in the Netherlands and we’re super keen to see more where this came from!
