Smart, funny and expertly executed party posters from German designer Mark Bohle

Date

German designer Mark Bohle certainly has a knack for poster design, boasting a portfolio of work that showcases skilfully drawn typography and illustration that manages to be at once wonderfully weird and very concise.

We’re particularly impressed by his party posters which take a range of unusual starting points. One features two cheerful chimneys dancing together; another a tree groaning under the weight of its bountiful fruits. When he takes a more graphic, type-based approach, his work is equally as fun and very much suited to its brief: neon bright reds are used to hint at a VJ-rich party line-up, for instance.
