Filmmaker Kim Gehrig is the woman behind high-profile commercials for the likes of Ikea, John Lewis and Amnesty International. At Here 2016, she discussed her process, upcoming projects and how to combine advertising with an empowering social agenda, for example her recent video for Sport England’s This Girl Can campaign, promoting body-positivity, self-determination and engagement with sport.

Kim was the first woman to land the directorship of the famed John Lewis Christmas ad, and her Here 2016 talk looked at not only these sort of commercial jobs, but her approach to each project and how she tries to create work that will inspire.

Here is a fast-paced annual creative symposium curated by It’s Nice That. To stay up to date with Here announcements you can sign up to our newsletter at here-london.com, follow us on Twitter or like our Facebook page.
