More brilliant illustration from former student of the month Janne Kokkonen

Date
28 January 2015

We’re benevolent old things here at It’s Nice That – so much so that illustrator Janne Kokkonen reckoned that being one of our students of the month in 2013 was “one of the nicest things that had happened to me during my studies.”

And the good news is that in the time since, Janne’s not let us down. He’ll graduate from Finland’s Lapland University of Applied Sciences this spring, and is still making the sort of bold, bright and rather brilliant images that made us fawn over him before. Now though, there’s an added confidence to his work, securing commissions from the likes of METAL and Tunica magazines. He’s also been experimenting with monochrome, showing a maturity and a fantastic eye for composition. We can’t wait to see what he gets up to after graduation when he’s out in the big, bad world.
