Jack White gives you three awesome music videos for the price of one

“But I don’t WANT one music video!” I can imagine a sulky Jack exclaiming as he brought his fists down upon the mixing desk, “I want THREE!” Or perhaps he was just looking to bring a more varied viewing experience to his dedicated fans with the visual accompaniment to new track The Black Bat Licorice. Either way, the interactive video he finally came up with, which offers three full music videos simultaneously, is more than enough to keep us satisfied.

How it works is this: if you press play and then sit back patiently you get to watch a dark and cool animation directed by James Blagden in which a cartoonised Jack White hangs out with Nefertiti, and chops off his tongue, among other activities. If, however, you get bored you can press and hold “3" to watch real-life Jack White doing something similar, but less graphic. And if even that isn’t enough to satisfy you you can hold “C” and watch a bunch of people head-banging in a yard, which is surprisingly more entertaining than it sounds.

The likelihood is we’ll only get about 30% of the way into exploring the seemingly endless world of interactive music videos before we get bored and start longing for the days when you’d record Top of the Pops on VHS to watch at a later date, but in the meantime, we’re all over it. Which is handy, as all the cool kids are doing it.
