Here 2015 draws ever nearer and we’re reaching the home stretch in our profiles of some of the great creative talents taking to the stage. Next up is karlssonwilker’s Hjalti Karlsson. Hjalti met Jan Wilker while working for graphic design superstar Stefan Sagmeister and they founded their own New York studio, karlssonwilker, at the turn of the millennium.

Originally from Iceland and Germany respectively, Hjalti and Jan have built a formidable reputation and an admirable client list ranging from PUMA and Nintendo to TIME Magazine and Warner Bros. The studio has long been defined by its open-minded approach to design and the compelling visuals they create which combine wit and intelligence to great effect.

As well as Hjalti, this year’s Here speakers are digital guru Iain Tait, Grand Budapest Hotel graphic designer Annie Atkins, ManvsMachine’s Mike Alderson, designer-turned-artist Scott King, photographic duo Blommers Schumm and SHOWstudio editor Lou Stoppard.

We’ll also be welcoming set designer Anna Lomax, illustrator Jordy van den Nieuwendijk, graphic designer Charlotte Heal and Nathan Cowen and Jacob Klein, the brains behind Haw-lin.
