Swiss zine highlights the many times The Simpsons has predicted the future
Guillaume Pavia and Emma Chapuis’ Secret Museum of Mankind is a magazine resulting from a project at their school ERACOM, in Lausanne, Switzerland. This featured issue is devoted entirely to The Simpsons: ”The project brief was to make a magazine based on weird things like conspiracies and we chose to consider predictions within Simpsons episodes. There are many occasions where it has predicted the future”, says Guillaume.
In the edition they picked nine episodes, with moments including the demise of Siegfried & Roy, corruption at Fifa and Donald Trump’s presidential campaign. The magazine is printed on fittingly canary paper, and set in two contrasting fonts, one referencing retro computer graphics and the other in a classical lecture style.
